Movie News: Matthew Macfadyen cast in a remake of 'A Passage To India'
Baz Bamigboye of The Daily Mail reports that Matthew Macfadyen is being cast in an ITV remake of A Passage To India.

Shooting begins at the end of January on location in India. The film, expected to be a jewel in ITV’s 2009 crown, will be broadcast next autumn.

Director Adrian Shergold has also cast Matthew Macfadyen, currently playing Arthur Clennam in the BBC’s excellent serial of Charles Dickens’s Little Dorrit, as Richard Fielding, with Laurence Fox playing Ronny Heaslop. Interestingly, James Fox (Laurence’s father) played Fielding in Lean’s movie of A Passage To India.
