36. Is it true that Rosamund Pike (Jane Bennet) turned down the role of Rita Skeeter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) to do Pride & Prejudice film?

According to a P&P trivia from IMDB.com, she did...but Rosamund Pike herself answered this question from her recent interview here.

(According to Rosamund Pike Web, Rosamund said the following in an interview with RadioFree.com below):

I'd like to dispel some rumors if possible. Is it true that you were set to do the role of Rita Skeeter in Harry Potter, which was ultimately played by Miranda Richardson? It has been said that you dropped out of that to do Pride and Prejudice...
No, I don't know where that's come from. I never even got approached for it. I mean, maybe I was on a list somewhere, but nobody ever talked to me about it.

37. Was it Talulah Riley's (Mary Bennet) actual singing voice during the Netherfield Ball scene?
According to director Joe Wright (in the P&P DVD commentary):
"That's Talulah [Riley] singing live in front of all those people,
it was her first acting job. She'd never done any acting before in her life."

38. Is it true that Carey Mulligan (Kitty Bennet) gained a lot of weight while filming P&P?
Again, according to Joe Wright (in his P&P DVD commentary) that, "Carey Mulligan, Kitty, put on a lot of weight 'cause I used to get her to eat in every scene. She's now about two stone lighter."

39. Is Simon Woods (Charles Bingley)'s actual hair color red?
No, according to Joe Wright (from the P&P dvd commentary)...

Simon Woods, who plays Bingley, I dyed his hair red for this film.
And weirdly, it's continued to grow red, and he resents me deeply for that. He was actually blond.

40. How did Judi Dench get the role of playing Lady Catherine? How about the rest of the cast?
Joe Wright mentioned in one of his interviews that
Judi Dench, I wrote a letter to saying, "I love it when you're a bitch. Please come and be a bitch for me," and she must have giggled or something and she did it. You can read how Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfadyen, Rosamund Pike, Simon Woods, Donald Sutherland, Brenda Blethyn, Jena Malone, and the rest of P&P cast were cast for their roles in P&P here.
