Atonement gets 7 Oscar Nominations!

The Oscar Nominations were announced earlier this morning and Atonement received another 7 nominations! *claps*

No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood let the pack with eight nominations. Atonement and Michael Clayton followed with seven nominations each.

BOO @ Oscars though , Keira Knightley, and James McAvoy were snubbed for their roles in Atonement ... not too mention Joe Wright was snubbed for his brilliant direction again.

Btw ...

Wow, 7 must be a magic # for Atonement. It opened here in the U.S. (to selected cities) last December 7th, got 7 Golden Globe nominations (won 2 out of 7), and now got 7 Oscar Nominations. Atonement's 3 for 3 on the #7. Let's hope they get lucky come Oscar night and sweep the 7 noms they got. Still disappointed that Joe Wright was overlooked (yet again for his brilliant direction) for Atonement and of course, Pride & Prejudice. Not that I was surprise, but still nice that they at least nominated Atonement with those 7 ^ including Best Picture and Best Cinematography. At least, they weren't shut out completely. Congrats and Good luck to the cast and crew of Atonement! Hope they win them all.
