Happy 250th Birthday  to the lovely, genius and way ahead of her time, beloved English novelist, the one and only,  JANE AUSTEN ! Worth re-posting every year (and slightly edited and updated) for your FYI... Remembering and  celebrating her 250th birthday  today,  Jane Austen , the woman who wrote the original  Pride and Prejudice   novel (which had been made into  several TV and Film adaptations  including the  2005 film,  Pride & Prejudice ), which was her first (can you believe  unsuccessful ?!) submission to a publisher back in  1797  ( 228  years ago) titled  "First Impressions"  (later changed to  "Pride and Prejudice" ). She revised " First Impressions " and published it entitled " Pride and Prejudice " in  1813  ( 212  years ago, 11 months ago this year!).

Some first look photos of the upcoming BBC and BritBox ten part-series  The Other Bennet Sister   (starring  Ella Bruccoleri ), which   is a fresh spin around the ballroom for one of Jane Austen’s most unassuming characters:  Mary Bennet has been released! No premiere date has been announced yet, but it will be sometime in 2026. The Other Bennet Sister  is coming soon on BritBox TV in the U.S. and Canada & BBC iPlayer in the UK!
