Speaking of Keira and film festivals...According to KeiraWeb.com, Keira will not be attending the Toronto Film Fest for Never Let Me Go, but she will attend the European premiere of NLMG at the London Film Festival's opening for it on October 13th...whereas her P&P/Never Let Me Go co-star Carey Mulligan will (see attendees list) and former P&P co-star, Rosamund Pike will be attending TIFF too to promote her own films (Barney's Version and Made in Dagenham). Looks like there's no P&P/Bennet Girls reunion (except maybe for Carey and Rosamund...though these two didn't even promote An Education together last year...only Carey did...) at this year's TIFF (if they even see each other there. We shall see...

Movie Casting News: Judi Dench joins 'My Week with Marilyn' and 'Marigold Hotel'

Judi Dench has two new movies she reportedly signed on, My Week with Marilyn and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

Collider.com has the following info for both of these new films...
Judi Dench has signed on to star opposite Michelle Williams and Kenneth Branagh in My Week With Marilyn, one of two Marilyn Monroe biopics in development.  This one takes place on the contentious set of 1957’s The Prince and the Showgirl, in which Monroe (Williams) sought respectability by working with lauded actor/director Laurence Olivier (Branagh); unfortunately Olivier came to loathe the blonde bombshell and treat her like “a naughty schoolgirl.” Dench will play fellow dame Sybil Thorndike, one of the stars of Prince.

According to The Daily Mail, Dench will start shooting her scenes on September 20th, two weeks prior to the primary filming schedule.  The accommodation resulted from Dench’s commitment to James Madden’s adaptation of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Read more here...
Speaking of Judi Dench...I just noticed tonight on the live telecast of The 62nd Emmy Awards (hosted by Jimmy Fallon) that her recent miniseries that aired earlier this year (last January) on PBS' Masterpiece, Return to Cranford with former P&P co-star Claudie Blakley (Charlotte Lucas) is nominated with 7 (including an Outstanding Lead Actress nomination for Judi Dench, but she lost to Claire Danes for Temple Grandin) Emmy Awards (winning 2 out of 7). Check out the list of categories that Return to Cranford was nominated for (after the cut)...

Pride & Prejudice References in Pop Culture (Part 3)

I have previously mentioned the Emma Roberts' teen flick, Wild Child in the Pride & Prejudice References in Pop Culture (Part 2) as one of the movies that referenced P&P movie, but I've never seen the movie till now when ABC Family recently premiered it last Sunday. I had DVR'd it, since I didn't get to see it when it aired. Just saw this movie this past Thursday and now I know which part/scenes from the movie it references P&P movie and mentions Keira Knightley. I thought it was pretty cool and had to laughed at those two brief  scenes (including one of the characters sketching one of Keira's Elizabeth Bennet's costumes/dresses and showed pictures of KK as EB from the P&P movie...see screen cap I made of it on top, to your left or below), as they were funny, lol. I wish I have the clips to show and share here, but unfortunately, there seems to be no clips of these two scenes in YT or anywhere else that I could find.

So...

Here are screen caps of the two scenes (which I thought were the funniest scenes) from Wild Child movie...

Wild Child (2008)
Harriet (Georgia King) goes to the social dance dressed as Keira Knightley's character Elizabeth Bennet with two guys (who were actually girls) dressed up as Mr. Darcy (lol), she enters to a music (the opening track titled, Dawn) from the Pride & Prejudice movie, and then recites to Freddie (Alex Pettyfer) one of the "Mrs. Darcy" lines from the movie and pouts like KK...lol!

Harriet: "Mr. Darcy! ...You may only call me Mrs. Darcy when you're completely, perfectly, and incandescently happy."

In another scene before that, she was drawing a sketch of one of Keira Knightley's Elizabeth Bennet's dress/costume from the movie and she had pictures of Keira as Elizabeth Bennet. Also, she told the girl to make her dress an exact replica to Keira's Elizabeth Bennet's dress as complete "authenticity" was what she was aiming for, lol. Then, she went on to say, "Charlotte overheard Freddie saying I look exactly like Keira Knightley."

Plus, an Interesting thing to note here...Georgia King, the actress who played the bad, head girl Harriet in Wild Child (with Julia Robert's neice Emma Roberts and the late Natasha Richardson, who attended the NYC Premiere of P&P movie back in 2005), also she appeared in a small role with P&P '05's Keira Knightley (the very same Elizabeth Bennet and actress her character Harriet wanted to be in Wild Child, lol) in The Duchess, co-starred with Mr. Darcy himself, Matthew Macfadyen in Little Dorrit and Talulah Riley in the film St Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold. Also, a P&P connection too! Wild Child was produced by Working Title Productions, Studio Canal and distributed by Universal Pictures...the same production companies and studio who produced and distributed the 2005 P&P movie.

Also, after watching Wild Child, I happened to catch one of the episodes' reruns of Sabrina, The Teenage Witch on ABC Family (again, lol) that same day...and wow, another P&P reference...but this time, they were Pride and Prejudice novel/Jane Austen references.

Check out the screen caps I've also made as well as transcribed the Sabrina quotes mentioning JA and P&P novel. Also, I've included an embedded the YT clip of that particular scene for you to watch (if you haven't seen it yet) below...

Must-See films starring P&P Actors (Fall/Winter 2010)

Here are a list of P&P '05 alumni with a new movie starting this Fall through Winter of 2010.

But first...

It looks like P&P's The 5 Bennet sisters are mostly the P&P '05 actors with new movie releases this year starting with Talulah Riley (Mary Bennet) in a small role in this summer's current #1 blockbuster hit, Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio, Cilian Murphy, Tom Hardy, and Ken Watanabe to name a few. Up next is a reunion between Keira Knightley (Elizabeth Bennet) and Carey Mulligan (Kitty Bennet) in Never Let Me Go (last year it was Carey and Rosamund in the Oscar nominated film, An Education). Carey also stars in another film, Wall Street: Money Never Sleep with boyfriend Shia LeBeauf and Michael Douglas, while Keira has two more new films London Boulevard with Colin Farrell and Last Night with Sam Worthington and Eva Mendes. Rosamund Pike (Jane Bennet) has two new movies of her own, Made In Dagenham with Sally Hawkins and Miranda Richardson and Barney's Version with Paul Giamatti, Minnie Driver, and Rachelle Lefevre. And Jena Malone (Lydia Bennet) has two movies Five Star Day with Cam Gigandet and For Ellen as well.

Anyway, mark your calendar (for U.S. fans) as here are a list (thus far) of the following (Note: release dates are subject to change) ...

U.S. Release Dates for P&P Actors' 2010 Films

In theaters (2010)

In Theaters Today: Aisha

Looks like Aisha, a new Bollywood version of Jane Austen's classic Emma is not only showing in theaters in India, but it is also showing worldwide today (August 6th)! Check out Aisha's Theater listing here to see if it's showing anywhere near your city or country!

Hmm, it's not showing in my city/state (Florida). I would love to see Aisha as I love Bollywood movies (even though I'm not Indian nor do I speak Hindi, but with English subtitles, beautiful and colorful costumes,  energetic music, and singing and dancing...they are so fun to watch!) and this one, also, is a Jane Austen movies related (I've seen Bollywood versions of JA's P&P and S&S both starring Aishwarya Rai and I loved and enjoyed watching them esp. B&P!) Unfortunately, I probably won't see this movie (unless they add one here in my city...) until the DVD is released here in the U.S., which won't be for a while, much like Bride & Prejudice back in 2004, when it was showing in selected cities and I didn't get to see it till the DVD was released the following year.

Anyway, for those of you who might be interested in seeing this film today or this weekend. Here are more info. about...
