According to Digital Spy , Keira Knightley , Eric Bana and Richard Gere have signed up to star in The Emperor's Children , the new movie from Noah Baumbach ( The Squid And The Whale ). Based on Claire Messud's 2006 novel , the dramedy centres on three Brown University alumni who are struggling with their personal and professional lives as they reach their 30s. Gere, who last appeared in Hachi: A Dog's Tale , will take on a supporting role, reports The Wrap . Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are producing the movie, which will begin shooting this summer. Knightley recently confirmed that she won't reprise her role as Elizabeth Swann in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides . The Emperor's Children is expected to have a 2011 release .   Speaking of Keira (who is turning 25 this week, on Friday March 26th )... She has a number of movie roles coming up, including a portrayal of writer Zelda Fitzgerald in biopic ' The Beautiful and the Damned...

As previously posted here , Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bennet aka (former) P&P co-stars Matthew Macfadyen and Donald Sutherland 's upcoming 2010 TV miniseries project : The Pillars of the Earth will premiere on Starz in July ! Now, according to Matthew Macfadyen News (over at Topix), Tandem Communications has just released a new promotional photo of Matthew! See Rupert Friend in (what looks like) a trailer for Georgia , one of his upcoming film projects for 2010. Here's a lil' synopsis about this film where Rupert plays an American Journalist, Thomas Anders. He co-stars with Val Kilmer, Andy Garcia, Dean Cain, Heather Graham, Jonathan Schaech, and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Georgia (via IMDB ) A drama set centered around the war between Russia and Georgia, and focused on an American journalist, his cameraman, and a Georgian native who become caught in the crossfire.

According to Just Jared , Keira graces the red carpet in Erdem at The Laurence Olivier Awards . The Laurence Olivier Awards are equivalent to the Tony Awards in America, celebrating achievement in theater, opera and dance. Keira is a best supporting actress nominee for playing a manipulative movie starlet in the play The Misanthrope .
