Jena Malone's mystery character will not appear in upcoming Batman v Superman film's theatrical release!
I previously posted here 2 years ago (October 2014) that Jena Malone was rumored to be appearing, possibly in a cameo, for a mystery role in Zack Snyder's (director of her Sucker Punch film) Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, and Ben Affleck) film, which will be opening in US Theaters nationwide later this month, March 25th, 2016.
Then, last year, I posted here about Jena's BvS secret character being revealed or rather rumored to be as Barbara Gordon. Though, there was no confirmation what role she was playing in this movie, It made me curious. I got excited and was looking forward to seeing her in this movie (since I've already been waiting for 3 long years to see this movie...big Superman and Lois Lane fan here!), only for EW to recently report and confirmed that Jena Malone's secret character from the film has been cut (what a bummer!), but she will still be appearing in the R-rated extended cut, the "Ultimate Edition" when it's released on DVD and Blu-Ray this summer.

More info. via EW:
One of the things cut from the theatrical release: A mystery character played by Jena Malone. Fans have been speculating about who she plays for months – and they’ll have to wait a few more before they find out.
“I think we should keep it private, but it’s nothing that’s been talked about,” Snyder says. “She’s definitely not Robin or Batgirl. I’m happy to say that.”
Some of what’s being added to the “Ultimate Edition” counts as a spoiler, so we won’t reveal all of the extra material. Suffice to say, some minor characters in the theatrical cut are given expanded storylines. And a few other actors will join Malone in being rescued from the cutting room floor.
