Movie Casting News: Robert Pattinson joins Carey Mulligan in 'Hold on to Me'

According to The Hollywood Reporter Twilight's Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) has recently signed on to join Carey Mulligan in new crime thriller Hold on to Me, which was previously titled Nancy And Danny. I have posted about this here last August.

Here's the THR article...

James Marsh, the filmmaker behind the acclaimed documentary "Man on a Wire," is on board to direct the thriller, which will be seeking funding when it sells at AFM.|

Robert Pattinson is coming on aboard Hold On to Me, a thriller being developed by Indian Paintbrush that will likely be a hit sales title at the American Film Market

As previously reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Carey Mulligan is attached to star in what was formerly titled Nancy and Danny. James Marsh, the filmmaker behind the acclaimed documentary Man on Wire, is on board to direct.

Set in a small town, the project concerns a money-hungry woman (Mulligan) whose big-city dreams failed. In order to land a high school crush, she uses a hapless man as a pawn in a get-rich-quick scheme that quickly goes wrong.

Pattinson would play the crush.

Brad Inglesby wrote the script for Nancy, which is being produced by Alexandra Milchan of EMJAG Productions, Indian Paintbrush’ Steven Rales and Mark Roybal as well as Todd Field.
Speaking of Robert Pattinson co-starring with Carey Mulligan in this film, I thought I'd re-post this interesting P&P/Twilight actors connection here...
FYI: Talulah Riley co-starred with Robert Pattinson (pre-Twilight saga films) in a short film, The Summer House. Then, her P&P co-star (youngest sister Lydia Bennet) Jena Malone co-starred with Cam Gigandet (who played evil vampire tracker James in Twilight, the first film from the Twilight series) in the indie film Five Star Day, while eldest P&P sister/co-star (Jane Bennet) Rosamund Pike and former Twilight and Twilight Saga: New Moon star Rachelle Lefevre (who portrayed baddie vampire Victoria in the first two films of the Twilight saga films) co-starred/appeared together in two films Fugitive Pieces and Barney's Version.

Keira Knightley, on the other hand, almost co-starred with Robert Pattinson in his recent film, Cosmopolis (as previously rumored and posted here), which was directed by David Cronenberg who directed Keira in her previous film, A Dangerous Method.
