On DVD Today: Into The Wild

Today is the DVD release day for Jena Malone's 2007 film, Into The Wild. In this film, Jena co-starred with Emile Hirsch, Marcia Gay Harden, William Hurt, Kristen Stewart, and Vince Vaughn. Directed by Oscar Winner Sean Penn, Into The Wild was nominated for 2 Oscars (Best Achievement in Editing and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role) as well as 2 Golden Globe (which won for Best Original Song for Eddie Vedder).



According to DVD Active, Into The Wild DVD is being released on standard, 2-Disc Collector's Edition, and HD DVD.

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced standard and special edition releases of Into the Wild which stars Emile Hirsch, Marcia Gay Harden, William Hurt, and Catherine Keener. The Sean Penn directed drama will be available to own from the 12th February March 4th. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. No extras will be included on the standard edition. The special edition will include an Into the Wild: The Story, The Characters featurette, an Into the Wild: The Experience featurette, and the trailer. A HD DVD release will also be available.
