Noiser launches Jane Austen Stories podcast with Pride and Prejudice narrated by Dame Julie Andrews


Award-winning UK podcast network Noiser will launch a major new serialised audio adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice on 30th September, narrated by Dame Julie Andrews.

Jane Austen Stories is the new show from the Noiser podcast network, narrated by Dame Julie Andrews. Season One begins with Julie reading an all-time classic of English literature, Pride and Prejudice, in its original masterful form.

Pride and Prejudice sees Noiser partner once again with BBC Sounds, who hold non-exclusive rights to the show. This collaboration ensures the series will reach one of the UK’s largest podcast audiences, while also reinforcing Noiser’s credentials internationally as a trusted content provider for one of the world’s leading broadcasters.

Timed to coincide with the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth this December, a cultural milestone being celebrated worldwide with events and adaptations honouring one of literature’s most enduring voices, the project also aligns with Dame Julie Andrews90th birthday on October 1st. Known worldwide for her roles in iconic films such as Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music and The Princess Diaries, and most recently as the narrator Lady Whistledown in Netflix’s Bridgerton, Andrews brings unparalleled prestige to the production, as well as providing one of Hollywood’s most instantly recognisable voices.

Spanning 25 episodes released twice weekly, this audio adaptation of Pride and Prejudice reading offers listeners the chance to rediscover Austen’s masterpiece in an intimate and immersive audio format.
Launching just ahead of the festive season, Pride and Prejudice is set to be a highlight for listeners over the winter months, with two episodes scheduled for release each week. Jane Austen Stories is available free on all podcast platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc) and BBC Sounds
