In December 2015, Pride & Prejudice (2005) film's very own Rosamund Pike (Jane Bennet) narrated her own unabridged Audible’s Pride and Prejudice audiobook version, where she did various different voices for each P&P characters.
A decade later in September 2025, in celebration of the Jane Austen’s 250th Birthday this year, Audible is releasing a new P&P audiobook edition (September 9, 2025). The audio cast stars Marisa Abela as Elizabeth Bennet, Harris Dickinson as Mr. Darcy and an ensemble cast featuring Glenn Close, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Bill Nighy, and more.

Pride and Prejudice has long enchanted readers, with its age-old love story between Elizabeth Bennet and her suitor, Mr. Darcy. Now, a new audio edition of the book is available via Audible — and PEOPLE has an exclusive first listen.
BAFTA-winning actress Marisa Abela will lead the new edition by voicing Elizabeth Bennet, and BAFTA-nominated actor Harris Dickinson will narrate Mr. Darcy.
The cast also includes Glenn Close as Lady Catherine de Bourgh and Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Bill Nighy as Mrs. and Mr. Bennet. Grammy-nominated composer Morgan Kibby will also provide the score.
Pride and Prejudice has been given a new life across mediums since it was first published in 1813. Perhaps most famously, the novel was turned into a 2005 movie starring Keira Knightley (a role for which the actress earned Oscar and Golden Globe nominations), Matthew Macfadyen, Carey Mulligan and Rosamund Pike.
