Dame Judi Dench to headline shows at National Theatre in December!
National Theatre on Instagram has announced that Dame Judi Dench along with Sir Ian McKellen will share an intimate glimpse into their remarkable careers in conversation with fellow actor and friend Jim Carter (aka Downton Abbey’s own Mr. Carson, the Crawley family’s butler).
Two of the greatest names in British theatre will come together for a rare and unmissable evening on the Olivier stage.
Judi Dench and Ian McKellen will share an intimate glimpse into their remarkable careers, in conversation with fellow actor and friend Jim Carter. The evening will explore career-defining roles on the stage and silver screen, personal stories and memories from careers that have shaped generations of theatre and film.
This special event is part of the National Theatre’s Next Chapter and will run alongside Director Indhu Rubasingham’s bold inaugural season.
Taking place on Friday 19 December - tickets will go on sale on Friday 19 September at 10am.
