A Private War starring Rosamund Pike and Tom Hollander set for November Release!

According to Variety, a theatrical release date for A Private War (starring Rosamund Pike, Tom Hollander, Jamie Dornan, and Stanley Tucci) has been set by Aviron Pictures for November 2018! It'll start with November 2nd select openings in Los Angeles and New York with a November 16th nationwide release. Rosamund just recently finished filming this movie and she said (in April in one of her latest interviews for the current film releases Entebbe and Beirut press junkets) to be currently filming one of her upcoming film projects: Radioactive (about Marie Currie). Miss Pike sure has been steadily busy with several films she had done since her Oscar Nominated film (and performance) Gone Girl.

Rosamund Pike's 'A Private War' Gets Awards-Season November Release

Aviron Pictures has given Rosamund Pike’s drama “A Private War” an awards-season release, starting with Nov. 2 openings in Los Angeles and New York with a Nov. 16 wide launch.
The cast includes Jamie Dornan, Stanley Tucci, and Tom Hollander. Matthew George’s Acacia Entertainment is producing and financing “A Private War” alongside the Fyzz Facility, which is executive producing.

The biographical drama is directed by Matthew Heineman, whose credits include “Cartel Land” and “City of Ghosts,” from an Arash Amel screenplay. Academy Award-winning cinematographer Robert Richardson is also on board.

“A Private War” chronicles the life of the late American-born British war reporter Marie Colvin, portrayed by Pike, and is based on Marie Brenner’s 2012 Vanity Fair story “Marie Colvin’s Private War.” Colvin died in 2012 while covering the siege at Homs in Syria.




Producers are George, Heineman, Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk, Kamala Films’ Marissa McMahon, and Charlize Theron under her Denver & Delilah Productions banner.

Today ( January 27th ) is the lovely and ethereally beautiful,  Golden Globe ,  BAFTA , Academy Award nominee  for  Best Actress  (for her outstanding performance as  Amy Dunne  in  Gone Girl ) and Emmy Award winner  Rosamund Pike  (aka  Pride & Prejudice 2005 's very own  Jane Bennet )'s  42nd Birthday ! Or is it?!?! Miss Pike herself just posted on her official Instagram page that today is her internet birthday (and somewhat not her real birthday)! Well, color me surprised (much like her P&P co-star Rupert Friend’s birthday confusion...) as I’ve been celebrating her birthday on this day for years, lol. I blame her IMDB and Wiki pages for not providing her real birthdate, if her actual birthday is, in fact not today! Although there’s that one time it was listed on the 28th, but for years and even now it’s still listed as the 27th! Which is correct?  Unless, Miss Pike can clarify and correct that..for now, I’ll continue to celebrate her internet birthday today! Still,

Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues... One of the many things I love about Pride & Prejudice ( 2005 ) movie is the memorable and quotable quotes (and dialogue ). I know pretty much every line/quote uttered by various characters in this movie by heart. There isn't just one to remember because there are so many unforgettable quotes and one-liners from this movie. For my Top 10 Favorite Pride & Prejudice Movie Quotes here, it was very hard to pick and just narrow it down to 10, but that's the point of making a top 10 list. P&P Movie Script

I was looking through old threads over at IMDB a while back and I found a link to the P&P 2005 movie script ... from an awesome JA/P&P fanfiction related site called, Mrs. Darcy's Story Site . I've read the entire script from this site. It seemed accurate with deleted scenes included! (though there were spelling errors on some of the lines...just a lil' typo here and there)... Btw, the webmistress at Mrs. Darcy's site has added her comments to the script comparing this draft with what was actually released on film , which I thought was quite interesting (especially the deleted scenes from the movie ). It was a lot of fun to read. I thought I would keep the link and post it here (a lil' excerpt here) for those of you might be interested in reading this or have been looking for the P&P movie script/transcript online.
