Watch|Listen: Two-time Oscar Nominee Keira Knightley singing the Oscar Nominated song 'Lost Stars' from 'Begin Again' OST

I know I have previously posted about Begin Again theme song, Lost Stars here (about 7 months ago, June 2014), but I thought it's worth revisiting and posting here again because who knew 7 months later this song would be nominated for both the Critics Choice Movie Awards and the Oscars, right? I knew it was submitted and in short list contention for an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song, but one never knows if it'll make it or not. It didn't get a nod on the recent Golden Globe Awards. Fortunately, when the Oscar Nominations was announced last Thursday, I was hoping, though didn't expect it to get nominated, but it did. So glad it was nominated because I love the song (I have it on repeat on my iPod playlist since I downloaded the track a few months ago) and Keira Knightley (who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for The Imitation Game, with the film scoring 8 Oscar nominations, sounded great with this song and) did very good singing it (loved her version more than her co-star Adam Levine's version, but he might be singing it on the Oscars though...) and the song's very catchy too. Not too mention, that's the only song I've heard from the other Oscar nominees for the Best Original Song category.

Lost Stars (lyrics)

Please don't see
Just a girl caught up in dreams and fantasies
Please see me
Reaching out for someone I can't see

Take my hand, let's see where we wake up tomorrow
Best laid plans sometimes are just a one night stand
I'll be damned, Cupid's demanding back his arrow
So let's get drunk on our tears

And God, tell us the reason youth is wasted on the young
It's hunting season and the lambs are on the run
Searching for meaning
But are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark?

Who are we?
Just a speck of dust within the galaxy?
Woe is me
If we're not careful turns into reality

But don't you dare let our best memories bring you sorrow
Yesterday I saw a lion kiss a deer
Turn the page, maybe we'll find a brand new ending
Where we're dancing in our tears

It would be awesome if Lost Stars, unexpectedly, wins the Academy Award come Oscar night next month (February 22nd), but win or lose, it's pretty cool that this song got recognized and nominated.
