Keira Knightley's 'Anna Karenina' and Kelly Reilly's 'Flight' New York City Premieres cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy!

Joe Wright's Anna Karenina (starring former Pride & Prejudice stars Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen) was set to have its US Premiere in New York for this coming Tuesday, October 30th, but the forthcoming Hurricane Sandy has forced it to suspend its premiere and will reschedule for another evening or so. Kelly Reilly's Flight film's New York Monday screening has been suspended as well.
The National Hurricane Center said it expected the storm to swing inland, probably on Monday evening. The hurricane center reported that the storm had sustained winds of almost 75 miles an hour. (via New York Times)

Looking further, Focus Features has suspended the New York City premiere of its Oscar hopeful, Anna Karenina, which was set for Tuesday night in Union Square. Director Joe Wright and star Keira Knightley were set to attend, and the distributor is working to reschedule for another evening.

Monday's New York screening
of the Denzel Washington starrer Flight has also been grounded.
