First teaser poster and release date for Edgar Wright's 'The World's End' starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Rosamund Pike

As previously posted here, Rosamund Pike has joined the cast of Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Shaun of the Dead)'s The World's End film starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, which started filming last September. Now, a teaser poster (to your left via Fandango) has been released with US theatrical release date of October 25, 2013 and a UK Cinema release 2 months prior on August 14, 2013.

The World's End also stars Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine (Hot Fuzz), and Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes). 

Here’s the official synopsis for The World’s End:

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
