Toronto International Film Festival announces 2010 Lineup

The National Post has the full list of the 2010 TIFF line up and the following movies featured P&P actors (from P&P 2005 - Rosamund Pike, Keira Knightley, and Carey Mulligan ; P&P 1995 - and   and Lost In Austen - ) and 2007's Persuasion - .

Toronto International Film Fest announces 2010 lineup
This morning in Toronto, Piers Handling and Cameron Bailey, co-directors of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), announced the galas and special presentations coming to the 35th edition of the noted festival.

They include: Never Let Me Go, an adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s acclaimed novel; The Conspirator, Robert Redford’s film about Lincoln’s assassination; and The Town, a Boston-set thriller directed by Ben Affleck (watch the trailer above).

Other films include Barney’s Version, which stars Dustin Hoffman in an adaptation of the novel of the same name by the late Canadian writer Mordechai Richler,  and films by Darren Aronofsky, Woody Allen, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Julian Schnabel and the directorial debut of Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Some of the stars speculated to attend TIFF 2010  include Marion Cotillard, Robert Redford, Nicole Kidman, Kevin Spacey, Hilary Swank, Sam Worthington, Jon Hamm, Clive Owen and Robert De Niro. The festival will release a full list of confirmed actors and directors later this summer.

Barney’s Version

Barney‟s candid confessional spans four decades and two continents, and includes three wives (Rosamund Pike, Minnie Driver and Rachelle Lefevre), one outrageous father (Dustin Hoffman) and a charmingly dissolute best friend (Scott Speedman).

The King’s Speech

Made in Dagenham

Working in extremely impoverished conditions for long, arduous hours, the women at the Ford Dagenham plant finally lose their patience when they are reclassified as “unskilled.” With humour, common sense and courage, they take on their corporate paymasters, an increasingly belligerent local community, and finally the government itself.
