Stage Play News: Matthew Macfadyen to star in Noel Coward's 'Private Lives'

The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye sure is on a roll of reporting stage play news (as well as other news:  Keira Knightley, Rosamund Pike, and Carey Mulligan all featured in UK's Daily Mail column this week) of our favorite P&P Actors Actors. First, he reported about Rosamund Pike's (Enter Rosamund, returning to tragedy and Rosamund Pike to star in a stage production of Hedda Gabler) stage play, then, he broke the news first about Keira Knightley's making her West End Debut in “The Misanthrope” and how she's the hot ticket for her upcoming stage debut. He also mentioned about Rupert Friend's makes his own West End stage debut in The Little Dog Laughed. Now, he reports about our Mr. Darcy...err... Matthew Macfadyen doing a stage play as well.

Here's the MM mention in his new column/article this week (which he also and often mentions his other P&P co-stars such as Keira Knightley, which he love to talk about in his columns, and Rosamund Pike and Carey Mulligan)...

Kim Cattrell
, who plays man-eating cougar Samantha Jones in Sex And The City, is thrilled that actor Matthew Macfadyen is to be the new man in her life - on stage, that is.

The pair will star in Noel Coward's Private Lives, directed by Richard Eyre, with performances at the Vaudeville Theatre on the Strand for a ten-week season from February 24. The official first night is March 3.

'I think it's a great choice,' said Kim, who is on location in Morocco shooting Sex And The City 2.

Private Lives will begin 'outta town' at the Theatre Royal, Bath, from February 10 until February 20, and then head straight into the West End.
