- Aishwarya Rai portrayed Lalita Bakshi (a character based upon Elizabeth) in the 2005 film Bride and Prejudice, a Bollywood adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.
Oh, now I see - Bridget Jones was "loosely inspired by Pride and Prejudice" - nice.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to be ignorant as I haven't seen any other version except the 05 one, but Keira Knightly made the best Elizabeth Bennet so far! :)
Yeah, BJ was, hence the "Mark Darcy" character played by the '95 Darcy actor, Colin Firth.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the '95 and '80 versions, but I agree with you that Keira Knightley was the BEST actress that portrayed Elizabeth Bennet on screen (that I've seen) ...at least in my opinion.
