Oscars Update: Yay, Congrats to *Dario Marianelli for winning Best Original Score for Atonement!!!

-Atonement cast and crew in attendance: James McAvoy (presenter), Saorsi Ronan (Best Supporting Actress Nominee), Dario Marianelli (winner for Best Original Score). Keira and Joe looks to be MIA and I don't blame them as they've been snubbed, lol.

- For Best Supporting Category when they showed Saorsi Ronan's clip, they played Dario Marianelli's P&P's score (If I remember right, it was "Liz On Top Of The World").

-Atonement has at least won 1 Academy Award so far. They already lost 5 Nominations (Custume Design, Supporting Actress, Best Adapted Screen Play, Art Direction, and Cinematography). Still waiting for 1 more category, which is the top prize of the night, Best Picture of the Year! Will Atonement win it or lose it? Stay tune after the end of tonight's Oscars for the answer...

Final Oscars Update: Unfortunately, Atonement lost to "No Country For Old Men" for Best Picture Of The Year. Oh, well...we all know the Oscars, at least Atonement won 1 award, better than none. Congrats again to Dario Marianelli!!!

  1. I was so glad when Dario Marianelli won! But so sad when Atonement did'nt win in the other catogaries, esp. best picture! But luckily that does'nt make it a less great film!

I really truly believed Atonement was going to win Best Picture and cinematography. But oh well, guess they loved NCFOM more. :P
