Keira Named Elle's Best Actress
Keira Knightley and Kylie Minogue took top honours at the Elle Style Awards.
Knightley, 22, made up for her Bafta disappointment by scooping the best actress prize, while Atonement co-star James McAvoy was named best actor.
Minogue, 39, was named Woman of the Year.
Hollywood starlet Kate Hudson was crowned Elle Style Icon for her "distinctive and kooky" fashion sense. The glamorous awards ceremony was held at the Westway in Notting Hill, west London.
In the TV categories, presenter Kelly Osbourne and Skins star Nicholas Hoult took the prizes.
There were also awards for model-of-the-moment Agyness Deyn and singer Kate Nash. Designer Anya Hindmarch, whose "I'm not a plastic bag" creation was an instant sell-out last year, was honoured for outstanding achievement.
I'm glad Keira is getting recognition for her acting abilities. She deserves it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to admit that I haven't seen Atonement yet. But I know she had to be great, she always is.
Yeah, it's nice to know that Keira's being recognized for acting abilities for a change and not mostly for her looks.
ReplyDeleteYou should see it, Stephie while it's still showing on the big screen as it's very nice to see it there esp. with the beautiful cinematography and music as well Keira and co-stars were really great on Atonement. The book's pretty good too.
