New Pride and Prejudice and Zombies still of Lily James as Elizabeth Bennet; film set for a U.S. theater release date of February 2016

The first Pride and Prejudice and Zombies solo still of (Cinderella, Downton Abbey) as a well-armed with sword Elizabeth Bennet (See pic above!) has been released recently through the facebook page of PPZ film's production company, Cross Creek Pictures.

The movie is currently in post-production and wrapped up filming around November 2014 (if I have to go by this Lily James Instagram PPZ slate image as the last time she posted about filming the movie) with  Screen Gems acquired the distribution rights for its U.S. theatrical release. Sony Pictures Worldwide will distribute the movie in Latin America, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Iceland; the feature is also being shopped around to other international territories. Since then, there hasn't been any news about this movie, until just recently with a new still of Lily's Elizabeth Bennet (above) and Sony's Screen Gems has scheduled PPZ for a February 19, 2016 theatrical release date, according to Deadline and as listed at Box Office Mojo. It's interesting that they slated this movie for a 2016 release and not this year as they had previously planned. They could've milked Lily Jame's current Cinderella movie's success to market and promote this film for a later late summer or early Fall (as in Halloween) 2015. Why wait for another year? That seems like a long time (even though it's early next year). Hmm...(but then again, I'm glad it's not released this year as 2015 is 10th year anniversary of P&P 2005 movie and 20th anniversary of P&P 1995 TV miniseries)...

As previously posted here, the first image from the upcoming Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (which started filming last September 24th, 2014) was released last October 2014 via EW, and the photo was of the Bennet sisters: Elizabeth (Lily James), Lydia (Ellie Bamber), Mary (Millie Brady), Jane (Bella Heathcote), and Kitty (Suki Waterhouse).
