Photos: Carey Mulligan and Colin Firth at 82nd Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon

Four years ago, Oscar Nominee Keira Knightley (nominated Best Actress for Pride & Prejudice) was at the 78th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon. (See photos of Keira standing next to an Oscar statue here!
or see a side-by-side photo of both Keira and Carey below, both standing next to an Oscar statue and both wearing black dresses with cuts in the middle...interesting!)

Four years later, her P&P co-star (whose feature film debut was P&P) Carey Mulligan (best known as Kitty Bennet) followed Keira's footstep to an Oscar nomination (nominated for Best Actress for An Education, which she co-starred with another P&P co-star Rosamund Pike)...and look at her new photos, she's standing next to an Oscar statue herself (sporting a new blonde hair color!)

In other Carey Mulligan related news...

Carey Mulligan is keeping a diary to document her whirlwind rise to fame - so she can always remember the surreal moments in her career.
The 24 year old appeared in 2005 drama Pride & Prejudice, alongside Keira Knightley, as a teenager but has garnered critical acclaim for her turn in last year's An Education

The role has gained Mulligan a nomination for the Best Actress prize at the upcoming Oscars and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards, and she is favourite to walk away with the BAFTA's Rising Star trophy.

And Mulligan is putting pen to paper to document her starry Hollywood experiences.

She says, "No one expected any of this to happen for An Education, so it's been a completely crazy ride. It's a sort of once-in-a-lifetime thing, so I'm writing stuff down and trying to remember it.

"As surreal as it is and as much of an honour as it is to be with people you admire so much, well, I'm just going to enjoy it. After that I can't wait to get back to work."
