Carey Mulligan arrives at the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California January 17, 2010. Mulligan is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama for the film "An Education."

Unfortunately, just like The Critics Choice Movie Awards last Friday, she (and fellow Best Actress nominee Emily Blunt of The Young Victoria both) lost to The Blind Side's Sandra Bullock. :( I do love Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side, but in my personal opinion, it should've been either Emily Blunt or Gabourey Sidibe of Precious who won for Best Actress. Their performances were both amazing and more powerful than Sandra's...but that's just my opinion. I think the Best Actress category this year was tougher to predict. They were all great and out of the 5 nominees (Carey, Emily, winner Sandra, Gabourey Sidibe, and Helen Mirren), only one I haven't seen the movie of (Helen Mirren's The Last Station). So, I've seen 4 out of 5 and they were all great and I've enjoyed their performances. I'm happy for sandra Bullock winning though (it's her year especially with a huge success Box Office-wise...she got 2 biggest grossing films of 2009 for a female actress in Hollywood. Not too mention, she's over 40 years old and looking young and fab at the same time...so yay for Sandy!!!), since she's one of my favorite actresses and had been in the business for years and she finally got her first Golden Globe Award for Best Actress (she should've won for The Proposal though, but with Meryl Streep competing with her in this category twice...lucky for Sandra she wasn't nominated in the Best Actress - Drama, or Meryl would've won this one too, lol).
