Carey Mulligan at the Cinema Society and Dior Beauty Screening for An Education

Carey Mulligan is now officially everywhere!!! It's been a lot of fun though, following her rising career these days (or rather since she co-starred as Kitty Bennet in her first film, Pride & Prejudice) as she had been in the public eye a lot lately...mostly attending and promoting An Education at various film festivals (ie. Sundance, Toronto Film Fest, and Telluride to name a few) and screenings (ie. premiere in New York City and LA Premiere).

As I've previously mentioned here last May, remember her name and her face 'cause Pride & Prejudice's own Kitty Bennet will be a breakout star this year of 2009...sure enough, she's been all over the the place and constantly mentions on film related blogs and entertainment news since An Education got rave reviews at Sundance earlier this year [January] winning 2 prizes including a World Cinema Audience Award: Dramatic (and getting picked up and distributed by Sony Pictures Classics). Not too mention, she's one of the most [Oscar] buzzed about young actresses under 30 this year, rumored to be dating her Wall Street 2 co-star Shia Labeouf, she's been getting many rave reviews from various film critics (and non-critics) alike for her breakout leading role as Jenny in An Education.

2009 (and early 2010) is definitely Carey's year to shine in the spotlight and she's just getting started with this film. She has one more film at the end of this year, a small role in Brothers (December 4th) with Natalie Portman, and a few or more films slated to be released in 2010 (including reuniting and co-starring with her P&P co-star Keira Knightley in Never Let Me Go and Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleep with Shia Labeouf, Michael Douglas, and Susan Sarandon).
