Speaking of Carey and her 4 upcoming films for 2009, check out this nice article mentioning all her upcoming films that will be released this year starting with Public Enemies in July 1st, from UK's The Independent...

Carey Mulligan - Straight to the top of the class

Carey Mulligan has four films due for release in 2009, with some of the biggest names in the business. Besides An Education (which also stars Emma Thompson and Alfred Molina), there's The Greatest (with Pierce Brosnan and Susan Sarandon), Michael Mann's Public Enemies (with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale) and Jim Sheridan's Brothers (with Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman).

Mulligan first came to the attention of audiences in 2005, when she made her feature-film debut as Kitty Bennet in Joe Wright's Pride & Prejudice. She then put in a confident turn in Anand Tucker's And When Did You Last See Your Father?, did some television (Doctor Who) and recently impressed audiences on stage in New York with her performance in The Seagull.

"My parts in Brothers and Public Enemies are both small: I'm not running around with Johnny Depp for the whole movie, even though I wish that was the case! An Education was the one I was most excited about seeing. I was sobbing. You never ever imagine that you're going to get to play a lead."

Also, another nice and interesting article from Interview Magazine mentioning her new films for this year and how she landed her Kitty Bennet role in the 2005 P&P movie...

"I had no idea how to become an actor," Mulligan confesses. "So when I was 16, I'd write letters to people like Kenneth Branagh and ask for advice." Mulligan's correspondence ended up snagging her a dinner with actor Julian Fellowes, which ultimately led to a role in the 2005 film version of Pride & Prejudice.

Plus 3 more new Carey films slated to be released for 2010-11...

Never Let Me Go (which she co-stars with her other P&P co-star Keira Knightley), Brighton Rock (Read Variety's article here), and The Electric Slide (Read variety.com's article: McGregor, Mulligan consider 'Slide').
