Photos: New Keira Knightley and Rosamund Pike photoshoot for Emma Thompson's book project 'SAFE'

Pride & Prejudice actresses Keira Knightley and Rosamund Pike (aka the eldest Bennet sisters' Elizabeth and Jane) are featured in a new photoshoot for British actress Emma Thompson's new book and charity project called, "SAFE."

Emma Thompson, as many P&P/Jane Austen fans know, starred as Elinor Dashwood and wrote her Oscar winning adapted screenplay to 1995's Jane Austen film adaptation of Sense and Sensibility (FYI:  According to her Bio on IMDB, Thompson is now married to fellow actor Greg Wise, who had played Willoughby in Ang Lee's Sense and Sensibility (1995). Thompson and Wise have one child, Gaia, born in 1999. Interesting...I didn't know that...till now! Who knew S&S' Elinor Dashwood and Willoughby would be a couple?! Well, not really the fictional characters per say, but the actors who played them...lol. Much like P&P's own Keira and Rupert Friend) She has a P&P movie connection too. She did an uncredited and unpaid re-write of the script (she received a "Special Thanks" credit at the end of the film), one of the two scenes that Emma Thompson wrote was the scene in which Charlotte Lucas tells Elizabeth Bennet that she will marry Mr. Collins. The other one is the scene in which Elizabeth Bennet tries to tell Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner and Darcy about Lydia's elopement with Wickham. In that scene Keira Knightley's Elizabeth Bennet, who was walking in and out of the room was Emma Thompson's idea according to Joe Wright's DVD commentary. She also co-starred with Keira in Love Actually and An Education with Carey Mulligan and Rosamund Pike.

Anyway, Keira and Rosamund are featured in Emma's new book project  featured in SAFE website. The book will be launched in late 2010.

Check out Keira and Rosamund's new photoshoot after the cut (plus Carey Mulligan and Judi Dench too!)...

  2. Tim, Thanks for the post and letting me know. My apologies for posting the photos here. I removed them all. I didn't know they were private images as a lot of other fansites of the celebrities who were featured on the charity project have posted them on their websites and galleries. I didn't mean to damage the reputation of the people involved in this charity...as I just wanted to post them here as they include P&P actors and the charities they were involved for the P&P fans who follow and read this blog. So, again, sorry...
